Zambia’s electricity company, ZESCO Limited, which made the announcement in a statement, said the interruption of power supply is to facilitate the re-configuration of transmission and distribution lines which will result in more stable and consistent power supply in Lusaka.
“These works are part of the US$20 million Lusaka Transmission and Distribution Rehabilitation Project (LTDRP) funded by the World Bank and European Investment Bank,” the statement explained.
