Zambia’s power utility company, Zesco Limited, has issued a new load rationing timetable effective July 1, 2024, to guide electricity consumers.
Some areas will experience outages for about twelve hours while other areas will experience more than fifteen hours.
A statement issued by Zesco’s Corporate Affairs on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, urged Zambians to download the ‘My ZESCO Mobile App’ which has been upgraded to include a load rationing schedule to guide them.
The corporation also urged Zambians to practice energy efficiency by turning off non-essential appliances and using energy-efficient devices.
