Qatar’s state-owned oil and gas company Qatar Petroleum has changed its name to reflect its new strategy focused on the energy transition.
The company changed its name to QatarEnergy, according to information on its social media channels.
The name is also accompanied by a slogan that says Your energy transition partner.
Qatari newspaper, The Peninsula reported that this change reflects a new strategy that will focus on energy efficiency and environment-friendly technology such as CO2 sequestration.
