Motorists in Namibia will pay more for fuel from midnight on September 2, 2026, the Ministry of Industries Mines and Energy said.
Petrol 95 will rise by 60 cents a litre, while Diesel 50ppm and Diesel 10ppm will each increase by N$1.60 a litre.
At Walvis Bay, Petrol 95 will cost N$25.08 a litre, while Diesel 50ppm will cost N$27.86 and Diesel 10ppm N$27.96.
The ministry attributed the increases to volatility in global oil markets, disruptions to oil flows and vessel movements through the Strait of Hormuz, and higher tanker freight rates, which have raised fuel import costs.
The Road User Charge Levy will also increase by 30 cents a litre to help fund national priority feeder-road projects.
