The government of Mozambique has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Mozambique Energy for All Project (Proenergia), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for supply of electricity meters for the project.
Interested bidders are encouraged to bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the request for bid documents.
The Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of 300,000 electricity meters for the project, divided into three lots and distributed in 16 locations in Mozambique.
Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, revised August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $100 or in a convertible currency.
