Kenya Power’s prepaid system upgrade this week was completed successfully and services restored, the company said.
Services enabling purchase of the prepaid tokens at the company’s banking halls, prepaid pay bill number 888880 and through all other prepaid vending channels have now been restored on a more robust system.
The upgrade of the prepaid system was necessary to enhance service delivery.
On Monday, Kenya Power announced that it will be shutting down the prepaid system from 23h00 to facilitate the transfer of data to new hardware.
The system was scheduled to resume operation at 18h00 on Wednesday, 10th April 2019
