Nigerian businessman and owner of Africa’s largest crude oil refinery, Aliko Dangote has revealed that his refinery will supply its first tranche of petroleum products to the market by July.
The businessman spoke on Monday prior to the official commissioning of the 650,000 barrels per day (BPD) integrated refinery project located in the Lekki free trade zone area of Lagos state.
“Our first products will be in the market before the end of July, in the beginning of August this year,” he said.
The $19 billion refinery is expected to be commissioned by President of Nigeria H.E. Muhammadu Buhari later today, Monday, May 22, 2023.
