Ghana’s utility regulator, Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), has directed ECG customers who were affected by the company’s PNS and ECash metering system to visit ECG’s District Offices, their website or PURC Regional offices from Monday, 24th to 28th October to complete a form for investigations and compensation.
A statement issued by the Executive Secretary of PURC, Dr. Ishmael Ackah said ECG, under the PURC’s regulatory oversight, shall investigate and analyse the information contained in submitted forms and compensate affected customers accordingly.
Dr. Ackah assured stakeholders that the Commission is committed to protecting the interests of both utilities and consumers.
“Only customers whose electricity supply was interrupted due to the vending failure will be considered for compensation,” Dr. Ishmael Ackah said.
