The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Tema Region, has explained that the recent power outage in parts of the Eastern Region is due to a technical challenge at its Kpong Bulk Supply Point.
Areas currently without power are Senchi, Attimpoku, Juapong, Volo, Podoe, Asikuma, Anum, Boso, Dodi, Asantekrom, Akwamufie, Asutsuare, Yilo Krobo, Lower Manya Krobo and Golden Exotics.
Other areas are Commandos, Military Training Camp, Glamour Farms, Wildlife, PW Quarries, Gokay Quarries, Recycling, Eastern Quarries and its environs.
In a statement on Monday, ECG assured the affected areas that their engineers are working assiduously to rectify the challenge and restore the power supply.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience caused to the affected customers,” the statement said.
