The vandalised tower

Reports reaching has it that one of the pylons near the Head office of Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), which is transmitting power from Karpower and AKSA to the national grid, has been hacked down.

The incident happened Monday dawn and officials of the Ghana Grid Company discovered it when they reported to work.

The incident is likely to affect power supply in most areas in and around Tema.

CEO of GRIDCo, Jonathan Amoako-Baah, who confirmed the incident to this portal, said they are shocked as to why someone could do that to the country.

He wondered whether those who did that did it so that there would be power outages for the public to talk about it.

Mr Amoako-Baah, who expressed worry about the situation, however, said they are reviewing the situation to determine the impact of power supply.

Items retrieved from the scene included a hacksaw.

Director for Systems Control at GRIDCo Mark Baah is stunned about the incident, said: “A human being deliberately cut it. It’s unbelievable. I haven’t seen anything like this.”

  1. I’ve said this over and over again that some enemies of this country will do their utmost to make Ghana ungovernable, but those to whom I talk find it difficult to believe me.

  2. Oh no. This is wicked and barbaric. To do this to your own country Ghana. Why, why, why, because of one’s own selfish interest. Our security should sit up. It’s just unfortunate that with this when people are apprehended there you hear Human Rights, and my learned friends defending them.

  3. Stupidity at its highest and you wonder why we cannot progress?
The culprits must be sought after and harsh punitive measures meted out to prevent future occurrences.

  4. This unpatriotic attitude must be condemned in uncertain terms. The culprit should be reminded of the law of KARMA.God has seen him

  5. I got this site from my friend who informed me on the topic of this website and now
this time I am visiting this web site and reading very informative articles or reviews at
    this place.
